Spring break doesn’t always mean packing bags and catching a flight—sometimes the best adventures are right here at home. This year, consider a staycation that invites you to explore, unwind, and discover something new inside our community. All week long the Library offers a welcoming space for all ages to drop in, linger, and make the most of the season.
If you’re looking for a little fun and excitement, don’t miss our DDL Giant Board Game Bonanza! Come to the Library Annex from 1–4 pm each day, March 30–April 2, where games both regular and life-sized will take over the space. Whether you’re strategizing your next move or just enjoying the laughter, it’s a chance to play, connect, and maybe even win big—you won’t be “Sorry!” Bring your family, meet up with friends, or just stop by on your own and join in the fun.
Beyond the games, spring break at the library is an invitation to slow down and explore. Wander the stacks and find a book that feels like spring—maybe a lighthearted romance, a fresh start story, or something that inspires you to grow. Not sure where to begin? Chat with a Library staffer or just let yourself stumble upon something unexpected. Sometimes the best reads are the ones you didn’t know you were looking for.
You can also travel the world without leaving town. From vivid travel writing to immersive fiction, the library offers countless ways to step into another place and perspective. Spend an afternoon in a Paris café, hike through distant mountains, or dive into a culture you’ve always wanted to learn more about—all through the pages of a book.
Whether you come for the games, the stories, or simply a change of scenery, the library is your destination this spring break. No itinerary required—just bring your curiosity, and let the adventure find you.
