Public Computers
The Library offers internet-ready public laptops that may be checked out from the Service Desk by DDL cardholders to be used within the main Library building only. For non-cardholders, a 15 minute express computer is available. All laptops have the capacity to print documents in either black and white or color.
WiFi
The Library's high speed internet is accessible from any of your WiFi enabled mobile devices. WiFi access is available after-hours from our courtyard and parking lot.

How do I access the Library's WIFI network?
Navigate to your mobile device WIFI settings and select the library's available network: DeWitt District Lib - Wireless
When prompted enter the library's phone number for the password: 5176693156
How do I use a library public computer?
Laptop computers are available at the Library Service Desk to be used inside the building by library card members. Computer use is on a first-come, first served basis. Our public computers maybe accessed for up to 2 hours per person, per day provided nobody else is waiting for access. Time extensions may be requested at the Service Desk.
Users are required to enter their DDL library card number to sign on to a public computer. Visitors have access to a 15-minute express computer kiosk. See library staff for a temporary access number.
Is my information safe on a public computer?
While we do have measures in place to help protect information, the Library is unable to guarantee your private information will always be secure on a public computer. Each computer has software installed that prevents the installation of malicious programs and clears out search histories, downloaded files, and passwords.
It is always best for you to log out of any accounts you have accessed and to use a personal flashdrive to save your documents.

The library does not currently have any laptop kits available to checkout and use from home.
