The DeWitt District Library offers basic notary services at no cost.
Notary services are available by appointment during the library's regular operating hours, Monday through Friday. Please note that appointments are dependent on staff availability. Call 517-669-3156 to schedule an appointment.
Essential Information:
- A valid photo ID is required for all who are signing.
- Documents must be signed in front of the notary.
- If the document requires witnesses, the person seeking notary services must provide them. Library staff are not allowed to act as witnesses.
- Persons seeking notaries are responsible for knowing their document, the type of notary and where to sign. By law, notaries cannot give legal advice or explain documents. Please seek legal advice or contact the document issuing or receiving agency if help is needed.
