Seed Library

The mission of the DDL Seed Library is to encourage lifelong learning and experimentation with growing. The Seed Library is comprised of donations from organizations such as Seed Savers Exchange and members of the community. The inventory varies from season to season.

Michigan One Seed, One State Initiative

DDL is proud to participate in the Michigan Seed Libraries' One Seed, One State (OSOS) initiative. The 2026 OSOS seed selection is the Pacific Beauty Calendula, an heirloom annual known for its daisy-like flowers in shades of yellow, gold, and orange that attract pollinators to the garden. OSOS packets include a small envelope of seeds and an informational brochure. OSOS packets will be available while supplies last with a limit of one per household. We will update this page when these seeds are available.

Seed Donations

Are you a seed saver? DDL accepts donations of seeds for the seed library to share with our community. Donated seeds must be open-pollinated, non-GMO, and less than two years old. We also ask that all seeds are fully harvested prior to donating. Please contact us if you are interested in supporting the seed library.
