The mission of the DDL Seed Library is to encourage lifelong learning and experimentation with growing. The Seed Library is comprised of donations from organizations such as Seed Savers Exchange and members of the community. The inventory varies from season to season.
DDL Seed Library
Choose from a wide variety of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. Our collection consists of open-pollinated, non-GMO seeds. Request seeds here. Limit of one order per season per household.
- If you would like more information about gardening in Michigan, we recommend asking the experts at MSU Extension.
Michigan One Seed, One State Initiative
DDL is proud to participate in the Michigan Seed Libraries' One Seed, One State (OSOS) initiative. The 2025 OSOS seed selection is the Little Finger Carrot, a sweet, fast-maturing baby carrot. OSOS packets include a small envelope of seeds and an informational brochure. OSOS packets will be available while supplies last with a limit of one per household. Request a 2025 OSOS kit here.

Seed Donations
Are you a seed saver? DDL accepts donations of seeds for the seed library to share with our community. Donated seeds must be open-pollinated, non-GMO, and less than two years old. We also ask that all seeds are fully harvested prior to donating. Please contact us if you are interested in supporting the seed library.
