The cemetery is located on the west side of DeWitt Road, just north of Stoll Road. The old Hurd School is in front of the old section (A, B and C) of the cemetery. Section D, to the south, is the new section. Burial dates in the sexton’s records are sometimes the date of death. The sexton’s records birth dates often vary by a year from the ones listed on the marker.

Abbreviations:

SR = Sexton’s Records a. = age at death

GAR = Grand Army of the Republic d. = died

CR = Can’t read; reading from 1938 Nee = Maiden name

Missing = Reading from 1938 [ ] = from Methodist Church records

CCV = Clinton County Vet AKA = Also Known AS
