DeWitt Public Library / Photo Seminar Descriptions / 2012

The DeWitt District Library will offer a series of photo seminars lead by local instructor Bob Grzesiak of dci3, Digital Consulting for Imaging, Information & Instruction.

Classes will be held @ 6:30 pm on the dates listed below.
Each class requires registration and a $25.00 instructor fee, of which $5 will be donated to the library.

 

01/09/12          Basic Tools & Techniques for all new Digital Photographers
Discover the basic techniques to properly use and enjoy your new digital camera, from point and shoot to DSLR’s.  The session covers camera set up and controls to assist you in understanding camera’s features.  Bring your new digital camera and your questions.

01/16/12          Advanced Techniques for all Digital Cameras
Expand your knowledge of photography to discover creative settings for your camera to control the way you capture images from action control and shutter speeds to focus control with aperture settings.  (Participation in the Basic Digital Camera Techniques is highly recommended)

01/23/12          Single Lens Reflex Cameras: Basic Techniques
Discover the features and benefits that make your Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera more versatile.   This session discusses tools and techniques needed to get the most out of DSLR camera take photography with your changeable lens, digital camera to the next level. (Participation in the Basic and Advanced Digital Camera Techniques is highly recommended)

01/30/12          Single Lens Reflex Cameras: Advanced Techniques
Dig deeper into the Digital Single Lens Reflex to take your changeable lens digital camera to the next level.  Learn about RAW shooting, custom white balance and other advanced controls to make the best of your photos. (Participation in the Basic and Advanced Digital Camera Techniques and DSLR Camera is highly recommended)

02/06/12          Digital Photography and Your Computer
It’s time to take your photos from the camera to the computer.  Learn how to transfer, store and organize your digital images on your computer and keep your photos safe for years to come.

02/13/12          Advanced Photo & Computer Techniques
Improve the color, composition and exposure of your digital photos with the computer.  In this live, working session, you’ll discover the tools and techniques to “rescue” important photos that didn’t meet your expectations and add creative enhancement to your favorite images.

02/27/12          Photographic Composition Basics
Learn the basics of composition to improve your photographs, concentrating on subject placement and focus techniques to bring new creativity to your photos.

03/05/12          Advanced Photographic Composition
Improve your photography with advanced composition techniques, including background selection and depth of field control and exposure compensation to develop your own photographic vision.

 

This program will be held at the DeWitt District Library - 13101 Schavey Rd. in DeWitt, MI, unless otherwise noted.
